THE BEATLES Memorabilia - A late 20th century Abbey Road NW8 City of Westminster street sign, enamel on metal with the black and red sans serif font created by Sir Misha Black in 1967 measuring 43.5cm x 76cm. The road is famous for being the home of Abbey Road Studios (formerly EMI Recording Studios) where The Beatles recorded their 11th studio album (1969). It inspired the name of the album and is the location of the iconic zebra crossing photograph which was used for the album cover.
