An extremely rare WALKER-RIEMSDYK O gauge Controlled Speed Clockwork 0-6-0 steam tank locomotive in lined green livery numbered 7890. John Van Riemsdyk invented a multi speed clockwork mechanism in the early post war years and in the early 1950s collaborated with the W&H Models shop in London to produce Walker-Riemsdyk ready to run locomotives. This example has been in the same family from new and comes in the original unusual tubular box and is complete with the original 'male' clockwork key to fit. The front coupling has been broken off at some point and the front buffers need tightening as they are a little loose, but this is probably one of the best examples of these engines to come to market in recent years - G/VG in G box
