Consisting of approximately 600 items, the auction kicked off sharply at 10am. Pictured below is lot 72 – “AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #14 - (1964 - MARVEL - UK Price Variant). This includes the first appearance of Green Goblin and the first meeting between Hulk and Spider-Man. The cover and interior art are by Steve Ditko. This was the first big sale of the day as it sold for £850.
Pressing on and surpassing the one hundredth consignment of the auction came lot 102 - DAREDEVIL #1 - (1964 - MARVEL - UK Price Variant). This is the first appearance of Daredevil (blind attorney Matt Murdock) and includes first appearances of Karen Page and Foggy Nelson. The cover is Jack Kirby and Bill Everett with Everett interior art and it proved a popular choice, selling for a huge £2,800.
Nearing the half way point of the auction consignments we found our highlight sale of the day. Lot 292 - AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #1 - (1963 - MARVEL - UK Price Variant). This includes the first appearance of Spider-Man in his own title (Second overall) and Spider-Man's origin is retold. Fantastic Four make their first crossover appearance and first appearances of John Jameson, J. Jonah Jameson, and the Chameleon. This is Steve Ditko cover and interior art and is currently ranked #7 on Overstreet's Top 50 Silver Age Comics highest value list. Lot 292 was sold for a huge £6,700!
Although nothing beat the hammer price of Amazing Spider-man #1, other consignments later in the day produced more staggering results. Lots 556 and 584 both sold for £900.

Lot 584 - WEREWOLF BY NIGHT #32 - (1975 - MARVEL - UK Price Variant). HOT BOOK - Origin and first appearance of Moon Knight with a TV series is currently in development at Disney/Marvel. This is currently the 15th most valuable Bronze Age book according to the Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide. It is a Gil Kane, Al Milgrom cover with Don Perlin interior art.
This auction yet again achieved fantastic results across the board, proving that now is definitely the time to sell.
