Excalibur Auctions has been at the forefront of Star Wars memorabilia auctions and Star Wars toys and collectables since the early days back in 2016. Over the years, we have sold original Star Wars film posters, toys, comics, autographs and more from the Star Wars universe. The ongoing popularity of the original trilogy, which are now known as 'A New Hope', 'The Empire Strikes Back' and 'Return of the Jedi', has been cemented firmly in the present and future with the prequels, sequels and spin-off series. There seems to be no end to this universe.
A great deal of official Star Wars merchandise and movie memorabilia has been produced since the 1970s, when the first film was launched, produced by Palitoy and Kenner, Master Replicas, Marvel, SEGA, Hot Toys, Lego, Funko Pops, Disney and many more to commemorate and publicise the launch of new Star Wars films and events.
We recently sold two rare Palitoy Star Wars vinyl caped Jawas, still sealed on their original card backs, the seller of which was given them when working as the Art Director for Marvel UK - yes, not just one, but two!
In May 2025, on Star Wars Day itself, of course, 'May the Fourth', we held our first Star Wars Auction with over 170 individual lots of trading cards, retro gaming consoles and games, original film posters, toys, props, autographs, books and more.
As the UK's leading auctioneers for collectables auctions, we have achieved record prices for original Star Wars film posters, including the famous Tom Chantrell UK Quad poster and the less common original limited release Hildebrandt Brothers version
In February 2024, we were honoured to sell Harrison Ford's revised script for Star Wars: A New Hope
